CLASP Welcomes Pernille Schiellerup, Director of European Programs
01 June 2012
CLASP is pleased to welcome Dr. Pernille Schiellerup as Director of European Programs. Pernille has extensive experience in the development and management of energy efficiency, environmental policy, and climate change programs in Europe on behalf of several policy research institutions and a national development agency.
Pernille was most recently Head of Climate Change and Energy at the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP). In this capacity, she developed and managed IEEP’s Climate and Energy Programme, including the design and development of a diverse portfolio of projects on energy efficiency and climate change policy.
Prior to joining IEEP, Pernille was a Manager for the Better Buildings Partnership (BBP), where she focused on energy efficiency policies to reduce carbon emissions in commercial buildings. Pernille’s previous experience evaluating the EU energy label and product-related energy efficiency and savings potential while a project manager and senior researcher at the University of Oxford will be highly useful as CLASP continues to provide technical assistance on appliance efficiency standards and labeling in Europe.
Pernille received her doctorate in Human Geography from University College London. She is fluent in Danish, French, and English.
We are thrilled to have Pernille officially join the team in September 2012.
