The
test method is defined in Section 9 of NOM-011-ENER-2006. It is similar
to ANSI/ASHRAE 37: Method of testing for rating unitary
air-conditioning and heat pump equipment. The test method of
NOM-011-ENER-2006 is defined for unitary cooling systems only and does
not cover Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF).
NOM-011-ENER-2006 also defines the mandatory energy label for this product.
The first MEPS level (NOM-011-ENER-1996) was effective in February 8th, 1998; NOM-011-ENER-2002 was effective 7-Nov-02.
