On September 15, 2011, amended standards were issued for residential refrigerators and freezers. The full text of the amended standard is available in the Code of Federal Regulations, 10 CFR 430.32(a). It is also in the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations. On September 15, 2014, these amended standards will establish new energy conservation standards for residential refrigerators and freezers, as summarized in the table below. (Note: the printed CFR states a compliance date of September 14, 2014. That is a printing error.)
