On Mode Power Consumption Requirements:
To qualify the display must not exceed the maximum On Mode power consumption (PO) with an absolute cut off level of 150W (consistent with the IDTV requirements) as calculated from the equations below.

[1] This scheme will not certify displays less than 12 inches unlike with ENERGY STAR 5.0 as they are not seen as necessary items
[2] Sleep Mode: The operational mode of a display that is (i) connected to a power source, (ii) has all mechanical (hard) power switches turned on, and (iii) has been placed into a low-power mode by receiving a signal from a connected device (e.g. computer, game console, or set-top box) or by cause of an internal function such as a sleep timer or occupancy sensor. ENERGY STAR 5.0
[3] Off Mode: The operational mode of a display that is (i) connected to a power source, (ii) engaged by a power switch, and (iii) not providing any function. The user must actuate a mechanical switch to bring the device out of Off Mode. ENERGY STAR 5.0.
