Specific tasks completed by CLASP in Brazil focused on the completion of multiple technical resource studies. Highlighted technical studies, available on the CLASP website, include Assessment of Energy Efficiency Performance Standards for Three-Phase Induction Motors  (September 2005) and The Minimum Efficiency Performance Standards, Labels, and Test Procedures for Refrigerators, Freezers, and Room Air Conditioners in Canada, Mexico, the United States, China, and Other Developing and Transition Nations  (June 2006).

These technical studies supported the advancement of Brazil’s Energy Efficiency Law (Federal Law 10.295: October 2001), which mandates the establishment of minimum efficiency standards for appliances.
