CLASP – as part of its organizational mission – facilitates international cooperation and best practices information sharing among S&L policy makers and practitioners worldwide. CLASP’s Global Research team takes a systematic and progressive approach for accelerating global timelines for S&L activities and information sharing at a global scale by conducting global research and analysis on S&L topics of relevance internationally and supporting training, capacity building, and knowledge exchange to expand and strengthen the expertise of S&L practitioners worldwide.
As the Operating Agent for the Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) Initiative, CLASP uses its extensive experience in energy efficiency S&L to support international SEAD activities. CLASP provides strategic advice to SEAD leaders on the development of program strategies and facilitates the five SEAD Working Groups, whose activities include procurement, technical analysis, standards and labeling, awards, and incentives.
